Denim isn't in him...

Berwich Pants casually elegant.

Wait til I get my money right...

I always talk with friends about what I'm going to do when I start making money, but motivation without inspiration, and vice versa are simply empty thoughts if we never apply them. I had the pleasure of watching an ABC special Friday night called Get Unbroke hosted by the wonderful Melody Hobson (check her out) which offered some insightful money stacking tips in an entertaining way, check out the above example talking about the difference between stocks and bonds.

It's a funny thing we always think about how to get rich, but with time comes wisdom and eventually money. While there's nothing wrong with aspirations of being a professional athletes, or entertainers lets just make sure when we get there we manage our money right. blessings and enjoy.

Best thing since....Awe you know the rest

Ironically I'm finding the simplest ideas have some of the greatest returns. Designer Burak Kaynak and Cem Has comes the sliced bread notebook concept, it features 12 numbered "slices" each corresponding with a month of the year, that helps you organizes your thoughts and ideas...Recipe for success? Take two slices of written organized ideas, slather on some smooth and creamy conversation on side, and faith and works that bears good fruity jelly, put em together and...enjoy the sweet taste of success. Aren't you hungry?

Riding in style

Quoc Pham Cycling Shoes

I have to be honest I've never really been a fan of the whole sneakers with suit look. About a year ago I was on the sartorialist and saw a gentleman with some athletic inspired sneakers which adds a totally different effect. The quality leather, subtle detailing, and narrower design, have undertones that more relatable to moccasins, or dress shoes. This cycling shoes are a perfect example of that effect, instead of having to bring two pair of shoes to the job you can simply throw these on and be fashionably comfortable throughout the day. The patent leather joints particularly caught my eye...looking at them I just keep imagining a debonair gent paired in a midnight blue dinner jacket, so some silk and cashmere tuxedo trousers paired with the patent leather shoes, on a classic ten speed headed to a cocktail party on a terrace, motivated to ride cause the evening was far too beautiful to drive.

Dreaming...

Aight so the story goes that one of the oldest fashion houses (Lanvin) has been collaborating with Acne jeans for some upcoming projects Acne invited the Lanvin creative team to the launch party for Acne Paper's summer issue, one thing led to another and before you knew it a great concept shoot was birthed, I guess there are really no accidents when it comes to inspiration.

While I consider myself a very social person it's funny that the last few months the whole night life scene has become very mundane and contrive to me, often people acting pretentious or overly eager to be scene and stand out rather than being themselves. Yet intimate scenes like this one with beautiful friends, complimentary taste, all enveloped in beautiful scenery make for memorable occasions that inspire magnificent memories we want to capture forever much like this one...I look forward to soon making this dream a reality...stay tuned.

It's the little things...

Every gentleman and lady who entertains knows that anytime you entertain there is always the possibility that there will be those who will not drink. We should always be prepared to accommodate these guest. I suggest having sparkling grape juice on hand the taste is often just as exquisite without providing the alcoholic buzz and if kids are present they can feel like grown ups too. Here are a few suggestions that offer just as much elegance as a bottle of fine wine.

Just make sure you keep the juice away from the happy juice ;).

I'm extravagant in ways that relate to my heritage ...the species of tailoring that's threatened by the outside world....

You have to love old dandies for the sophistication and stubborness when it comes to tact, refinement, and style. I came across this installment of Style Sages on men.style.com and thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope you do as well.

Modivation...

It's funny how the lives of others often can affect us positively or negatively. I had the distinct pleasure of seeing the success formula work. My man graduated from Morehouse College this past Sunday which is an accomplishment within itself, but what's more he graduated Summa Cum Laude "with highest honor" (direct translation: "with highest praise") maintaining a 3.8 during his matriculation. This commitment awarded him National Merit Honors, and induction into Phi Betta Kappa National Honors Fraternity.

Morehouse Alum Spike Lee was in attendance.

The Beautiful Cicely Tyson spoke.

My man got his degree

I was extremely proud of him, but was moved by his words at that we had at our Sunday dinner later that evening. He said "You all are the reason for my success. While others were out partying, I made sure that I maintained my studies, and remained focused, because I was a representation of you and therefore had and obligation to myself and you to be the best student that I could be." Well done sir. Well done.

Speaking of Bespoke..."Last"ing impressions.

Since we're talking about bespoke footwear I thought you would appreciate this clip of Carréducker hand crafted shoemakers and their artistic perspective to creating "last"ing impressions. Enjoy.

If the shoe fits...

As if Tom Ford does not epitomize casual luxury already, he has doesn't it again. Tom Ford will be offering a bespoke shoe amenity in his Milan and New York store. Customers can select from any one of 18 styles - from lace-ups to loafers - and an almost bewildering number of materials (14 different kinds of calf leather, not to mention suede and crocodile skin). They also have the option to add a monogram or your personal moniker inscribed inside the shoe. Measuring complete, the order hotfoots its way to Naples to begin the three-month process. But hey custom quality is always worth the price and the wait...right?

Top hat of the morning

Jake Phipps will be introducing a collection of lamps called the "Jeeves and Wooster" the two hats will come in black with velvet details and gold or silver linings. If you want a conversation starter this is definitely a way to do it.
